The all-new 2023 Kia Sportage (Overview)

A Step Into a New and Bold Direction.

In a sea of bland-looking SUVs on the market, the newly redesigned 2023 Sportage features a head-turning and daring design that is both modern and classy.

With the boomerang-shaped LED headlights featuring what Kia describes as the Opposites United Design Philosophy, and the more aggressive tiger nose grill, the 2023 Sportage design distinguishes itself from the competition.

More Spacious Than Ever Before

The 2023 Sportage is larger than the 2022 Sportage. It is 7.1 inches longer and has a 3.4-inch wider wheelbase. This size increase results in considerably more interior space. While the 2022 Sportage only has 38.2 inches of rear legroom, the 2023 Sportage has a class-leading 41.3 inches of legroom for the rear seats

Also, the 2023 Sportage offers more storage space, with a best-in-class rear cargo capacity of 39.6 cu-ft, compared to 30.7 cu-ft for the 2022 Sportage.

Modernized For The Canadian Family

In addition to the increased space, the cabin of the 2023 Sportage is more technologically sophisticated than the 2022 Sportage.

Not only is there a new steering wheel bearing the brand’s updated logo, select Sportage trims feature a curved dual-screen dashboard, linking a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster ahead of the steering wheel with a 12.3-inch infotainment display at center stage.

On the other hand, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are standard along with the latest generation of Kia's onboard software. Drivers and passengers are also able to take advantage of Wi-Fi hotspot capability, optional wireless phone charging, and Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant integration.

Like the Sorento, this new model also ditches the traditional gear selector for a beautiful and modern rotary dial, making more room for the engine start and drive mode buttons.

And like most modern cars, there are USB ports all over the place, including a set of ports molded into the back of the front seat headrests along with integrated coat hangers and bag hooks.

The all-new Kia Sportage will be available this March and will include a PHEV variant, but Kia did not yet reveal the pricing.
